PAINT SHOP DEPARTMENT HEAD
|
|
Overall Function:
The Paint Shop Department Head plans, directs and coordinates the overall activities of the Department in order to achieve established targets for quality, delivery, cost and safety. The position ensures the delivery of painted body shells to the Car Erection Department.
Management
· Develop and recommend for approval the Department's objectives, strategies, policies, plans, and budgets
· Conduct Technical Improvement regarding Paint Technology for line suitability
· Monitor the Department's performance against plans, analyzes deviations form plans, pinpoints areas for improvement, and directs appropriate courses of action to ensure prompt and proper solution to problems (e.g. Hoshin Kanri monitoring, performance reports review, budget monitoring, Quick Response Production Control and Quick Response Quality Control activities)
· Maintain good working relations with colleagues and other senior officers as well as with external entities regarding any matter affecting the operations of the Department
· Promote welfare of personnel in the Department
· Ensure that the necessary processes are in place and that authorities and responsibilities are properly delegated for efficient and effective operations of the Department
· Ensure strict compliance with approved policies, control systems and procedures of NMPI
· Ensure strict compliance with ISO requirements
· Initiate the hiring, filing of administrative cases, promoting, and disciplining of personnel in the Department
· Direct, guide, develop, and motivate personnel directly supervised and evaluate their performance
· Oversee the training and development of personnel in the Department
· Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and reports pertaining to Department's activities.
· Review and sign correspondence, memoranda, and reports pertaining to the Departments activities.
· Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and procedures of the Department (e.g. cost reduction and kaizen activities)
· Manage Genba Kanri Program
Functional
Quality
· Manage the overall quality performance of the Department
· Ensure that quality issues concerning the Department are resolved
· Review and approve quality improvement activities
· Ensure elimination of defect outflow
Delivery
· Manage the Department's activities to ensure on-time delivery of units to the Car Erection Department
- Manage attainment of hourly/production target
- Inform line personnel of engineering/specification changes and its impact to production and to existing procedural standards
Cost
· Manage the proper utilization of 4M (Man, Machine, Methods, Materials)
- Monitor targeted productivity index (units/man/month)
- Ensure that the equipment used in the Department (e.g., trestles, spray guns, paint robot, ED oven) are in good condition
- Recommend process improvements in the line
- Monitor parts/materials usage of the Department
· Manage cost reduction program
· Manage effective Job Load Ratio
Safety
· Conduct Red Tag Patrol to monitor compliance of the Department to 5S requirements
· Monitor compliance of the Department to other safety requirements
Manufacturing Coordination Activities
· Coordinate with Manufacturing Support on their activities, such as skills training, plant audits, continuous improvement activities, and other initiatives
· Endorse Manufacturing support activities to Department/Section personnel
Requirements:
· B.S. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering graduate
· Minimum of 5 years management experience in Paint Shop Operation or similar manufacturing set up. Preferably with experience within the car industry.
· With Good Moral Character, trustworthy and good team leader.
· Can work in a multi-tasking environment and very Dynamic
· Male; 25 - 45 years old
· Must be willing to work in Sta. Rosa, Laguna

QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER (PAINT LABORATORY)

Responsibilities:
· Ensures that the paints, chemical and other related materials supplied to the production line meets the quality standard
· Conduct non-regular audits for conformance of the Assembly Plant to prescribed quality levels set.

| Requirements: |
|
· Graduate of Chemical Engineering, Preferably a Licensed Chemical Engineer
· Preferably with work experience as Paint Laboratory Engineer gained from automotive industry
· Male or Female; 24 - 30 years old
· With valid driver's license

· Formulate plans and programs to ensure sales target achievement
· Identify potential sales opportunities and threats in relation to vehicle sales
· Assess the effectiveness of the implemented sales programs and provide countermeasures to ensure sales target achievement.

| HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities:
Training
· Prepare Training Plan
· Coordinate with different work units for internal and external training plan and schedule
· Conduct Training Needs Analysis and Establish and monitor effectiveness of training programs and implement necessary improvements
· Manage the development and regular update of the Training Curriculum
· Conduct training to employees and Prepare administrative requirements (i.e., venue, logistics, certificates) for training conduct
· Coordinate and monitor sourcing of speakers/external trainors and public seminars
· Review, summarize and report the training evaluation results
· Develop trainers and monitor capabilities of trainers pool to ensure the continuous availability of trainers
· Handle the preparation and control of training contracts. Prepare and monitor training budget
· Develop and improve the training policy and procedures
· Conduct research on latest automotive development which can be incorporated in Training Plan
Career Development and Management
· Design, develop and implement career development program (i.e., succession planning, career path building, promotion, transfer, etc.) for employees in coordination with unit heads

Performance Management
· Ensure proper administration of performance appraisal system
· Develop and improve the performance appraisal system
· Coordinate with Strategic Planning personnel for accomplished performance appraisal forms and summaries
· Arrange all administrative requirements (i.e., performance appraisal summary, venue, etc.) for performance banding session with different unit heads
· Prepare summary of performance banding results for approval of unit heads and the President
Talent Management (Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Separation)
· Supervise the development, improvement and implementation of recruitment, selection, hiring and separation strategies, policies and procedures
· Maintain good relationship with headhunters (i.e. jobstreet, executive search, manpower agency) for recruitment and selection requirements
Culture Building
· Supervise the development and implementation of programs (i.e., values-formation, teambuilding) that promote and strengthen NMPI core values to employees
· Manage the development and implementation of sustaining activities (i.e., core values competition, regular article in NMPI newsletter) that would make NMPI core values a way of life for employees
· Administer incentive programs related to core values campaign (i.e., ePROS system)
· Develop and monitor the implementation of a system that measures the culture level/ values of NMPI and its employees
Manpower Planning and Management
· Supervise the development and improvement of manpower planning and management system
· Manage the planning and implementation of personnel movement in the organization (i.e., end of contract, extension, regularization, lateral transfer, resignation, promotion, reclassification)
Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and 201 File Management
· Supervise the management of HRIS/ 201 file management system
Organization Structure Development and Management
· Supervise the review, development and improvement of the organization structure of the company in coordination with the unit heads concerned
· Manage the development and implementation of interventions in the organization's structure and processes (i.e., culture change programs, problem solving & analysis skills enhancement, etc.)
Compensation and Benefits Administration
· Develop, implement and review salary structures
· Reviews and recommend salary adjustments based on wage orders
· Manage the administration of government benefits such as SSS, Pag-Ibig and Philhealth
· Supervise timekeeping records as input for payroll and disciplinary management
· Supervise processing of R&F & Supervisory payroll
Industrial and Employee Relations
· Develop and implement company-wide activities (e.g., outings, sportsfests, anniversary programs & Christmas party)
· Reviews, improves and manages implementation of company policies and procedures
· Handle the filing and distribution of policies and procedures
· Implement disciplinary action in accordance with the company code of discipline
· Participate in Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations

Health and Sanitation Services
· Develop and manages the implementation of health, sanitation and nutrition programs for NMPI employees
· Monitor compliance of canteen to health and sanitation standards
· Ensure provision of annual and pre-employment medical exams including drug test of employees.
· Manage the administration of medical and life insurance of employees
Others
· Administer the preparation and release of NMPI Newsletter
