NMPI gives back to the community
As Nissan Motor Philippines, Inc. (NMPI) celebrates its 25th year in the automotive industry, the company strives to enrich the lives of the communities who continue to give their support to the Nissan brand.
Kicking off with the highly successful medical mission held during last year's anniversary celebration, NMPI continues to give back once again through a succession of community programs beginning with a blood letting campaign in cooperation with the Philippine Red Cross.
NMPI employees volunteered to do something amazing by giving the gift of blood last October 4, 2007. This highly successful campaign, garnered over 60 employees willing to donate blood to save lives. A "Medicine Donation" drive supported by the Foreign Post publication, will be held in the communities around Nissan Technopark. The Christmas donation box entitled "Munting handog mula sa iyo, malaking kasiyahan para sa ibang tao" will also be launched during the 25th Anniversary celebration. Employees are encouraged to donate whatever they can to the communities in the outskirts of Laguna.
"By doing what we can with what we have, NMPI employees hope to share their blessings with the less fortunate of our brethrens. Our own small way of enriching the lives of the people around us," say Val de Leon, VP of Administration & Corporate Planning Division of NMPI.
